Privacy Policy
Meanwhile does not collect, store, or transmit any user data. Everything runs locally in your browser.
What we do not collect
Meanwhile does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any of the following:
- Personally identifiable information
- Health or fitness information
- Financial or payment information
- Authentication credentials
- Personal communications, including prompts or AI responses
- Location data
- Web browsing history
- User activity (clicks, keystrokes, mouse movement, scrolling)
- Website content from the pages you visit
What is stored locally
Meanwhile uses chrome.storage.local to save your preferences on your own device only. This data never leaves your browser and is not accessible to us or any third party. Stored items include:
- Whether the extension is enabled or disabled
- Your stretch preferences
- The most recently shown stretch (to avoid immediate repeats)
Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data.
Why Meanwhile requests host permissions
Meanwhile requests access to claude.ai, chatgpt.com, and gemini.google.com for one purpose only: to detect when the AI is generating a response so that a stretch guide can be shown during the waiting period and dismissed when the response arrives.
Meanwhile does not read, copy, log, or transmit the content of your prompts or the AI's responses.
Third parties
Meanwhile does not use third-party analytics, advertising, tracking, or remote code. The extension contains no external network requests except for loading static font assets from public CDNs (no user data is sent in these requests).
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Material changes will be reflected in the extension's Chrome Web Store listing.
